Tom and Jerry's are a classic holiday drink made from eggs and sugar. A classic around our families holiday table.


Yields: 4 cups
Prep: 12 minutes


Ingredients:
4 eggs, separated
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground cloves
½ tsp all-spice
3 ½ cup powder sugar
Hot water
1 ½ oz brandy, per glass
1 oz rum, per glass
Fresh grated nutmeg, garnish


Directions:
Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks in two separate bowls. Beat the whites until a stiff peak, approximately 4 minutes. Then beat the yolks until a pale yellow, approximately 4 minutes. Add the vanilla, cinnamon, ground cloves and all-spice into the yolks and mix. Then slowly incorporate the powder sugar into the egg yolks until all combined. Follow by folding in the egg whites into the egg yolk and sugar mixture.


In a café mug add in the brandy and rum along with 2 large dollops (~3-4 tbls) of the Tom & Jerry batter into the cup then vigorously stir in HOT water to fill the glass. Top with freshly grated nutmeg, serve and enjoy!
