History: Gaylord Rashke is where Raschke's Burgers came from. Raschke’s Saloon was built after 1910, located at 3 North Maple Saloon in Watertown, SD. Gaylord Rashke was a sparing partner to Joe Lewis, a great American boxer. This recipe is pasted down from Grandpa Luken, a tradition at Sunday dinners.

Ingredients:
1 lb 80/20 ground beef
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 large onions, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups water
3 pretzel buns, (traditionally used was hamburger buns)
3 tbls horseradish, divided
Directions:
Mix together the beef and the salt and pepper. Form into 3 large balls and place in a sauté pan. Cover with onions, garlic and water. Place the pan on the stove on a medium heat and simmer for 60 minutes.
Place the Raschke Burger on a bun, along with all the juices, and on the other bun spread 1 tbls of horseradish. Serve and Enjoy!
