AMATEUR KITCHEN

Prime rib is a flavorful roast to serve for any special occasion. Enjoy this easy to follow recipe passed down from Grandma Luken.

Serves: 6-8

Prep: 10 minutes

Cook: 2 hours + resting time

Ingredients:

4-6 lbs Prime Rib Roast (recommend bone in)

1/2 cup Flour

1 tbsp Dried Rosemary

2 tsp Salt

2 tsp PepperWater

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl combine the flour, dried rosemary, salt and pepper; stir to combine. Slowly add in water to flour mixture to make a paste, about 1/2 - 3/4 cup. Rub the paste all over the meat and place the meat in a roasting pan on a roasting rack. Add 1 cup of water to the roasting pan and place in the oven and insert a meat thermometer.

Bake for 1 hour at 350 then turn the oven off (bake 20 minutes per pound.) DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN DOOR for the entire time the meat is in the oven. One hour before eating turn the oven back on to 250 degrees and bake for one more hour. Enjoy!
