This is a quick and easy dessert that will impress your family and your guests. The light and airy puff pastry is paired perfectly with the sweet and warm tasting peaches.
Makes: 3 tarts
Prep: 10 minutes
Bake: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
3 Peach, pit removed and slice into 1/8 inch slices
1/2 Lemon, juiced
3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1 Puffy Pastry Sheet, thawed
2 Tbsp Butter, melted
2 Tbsp Turbinado Sugar (Natural Cane Sugar)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400˚.
In a large bowl combine the sliced peaches, lemon juice, brown sugar and cinnamon; mix to combine. (Mixing with your hands can not only be fun but will help prevent the peaches slices from breaking.)
Cut the puff pastry into thirds and place on a greased baking sheet or parchment paper. Even spread the melted butter over each pastry, along with the turbinado sugar.
Arrange the peach slices on the pastry in a straight line, overlapping as you go. Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown.
Cool slightly and then serve with powdered sugar, ice cream and/or whipping cream. Enjoy!
